What is significant about President Obama’s planned trip to Israel? What topics will be discussed during this trip? How might meeting Israeli leaders in their country be different from hosting them in the U.S.? Explain.

US officials are trying to lower expectations that Obama will seek to make significant headway on restarting the Israel-Palestinian peace process. But I think that this is the significant about president Obama’s planned trip to Israel. The topics that will be discussed during the trip will be the war in Syria and concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and as I said the Israel-Palestinian peace, Netanyahu’s new government and relations between the two countries (US and Israel). The meeting was held in Israel and that shows how US is willing to make a stronger relations with Israel and shows that US is supporting Israel in their actions.

I think the significance of president Obama’s trip to Israel is discussing the conflict going on in Syria and in the state of Palestine. The topics that I think will be discussed are Iran and its nuclear program and how it will affect Israel. I also think they will talk about ending the Syrian conflict since Israel is close to Syria. Meeting Israel leaders in there country is more safe for the israel leaders. Since a lot of countries hate Israel, killing them is something they expect.

According to the report: How does Pope Francis interact with crowds differently than his predecessors? What concerns have been raised with regard to this issue? What do the experts in the video say about these concerns? Do you think the pope and his security staff will be able to find a balance between keeping the pope safe and allowing him to interact with crowds in this way? Explain.

According to the report Pope Francis interacts with the crowds very differently than his predecessors. Pope Francis doesn’t fear the crowd, while his predecessors feared the crowd, as some of them were attacked. Pope Francis is vey interactive, walking down the streets to spread joy. Papal security and Italian secret security are both working together to protect Pope Francis, making sure of who goes in the Vatican, as it is one of the most tourist sight. The experts think that administration comes before security, proving Pope Francis right, however they are still conceded about keeping him safe. The pope and his security staff will be able to find a balance between keeping the pope safe and allowing him to interact in his own way, as they were able to protect most of his predecessors, as they and him know that he will have to stay safe, and with the help of the pope car he will be able to interact with the crowds.

The significant of this visit is that it is the first visit for Obama to israel as a president. During the visit, important issues were discussed between President Obama and Netanyahls like the relation between Israel and the United States, another important issue was how to deal with Iran’s nuclear issues especially that iran wanted to move israel from the map. Hosting the meeting at Israel shows how intimate are both countries which have been allies since long ago.

Who is Malala Yousafzai? What cause does she support? What does Malala say about returning to school? Why do you think Malala is so determined to get an education? Why do you think that education is not guaranteed to everyone in some countries?

Malala Yousafzai is an activist in Pakistan in which works towards getting women’s education rights. Malala is extremely happy to be getting back to school after the Pakistani terrorist Talaban attempted to assassinate her. She has been recovering for a long time and could not wait to get back to school. Moreover, she loves learning and talking to her friends and teachers. She was determined to get an education because she believes that women in Pakistan have to have the same amount of rights as men. She believes that hey are both equal and both deserve to get the same amount of education. This education is not guaranteed to everyone in all the countries because many countries believe that women should not be going to school but stay at home and doing home cleaning and cooking.

-Malala Yousafazi is a Pakistanian activist who works and supports the education rights of women who almost got killed by Talban terrorists from Pakistan. Malala said that she was happy to return to her school carrying her bag and her books. Also, she stated that she was happy to be able to talk to her friends and her teachers. Since she has been recovering for a long time in the UK she was glad to be able to go back to school. She was determined to get an education because she believed that all women and men should be equal and have the same amount of rights, and women should have the right to an education. Many countries mistreat women and do not give them as many rights as they give the men so education is not guaranteed in all countries.

Who is Malala Yousafzai? What cause does she support? What does Malala say about returning to school? Why do you think Malala is so determined to get an education? Why do you think that education is not guaranteed to everyone in some countries?

Malala Yousafzai is a fifteen year old Pakistani girl, who fought for education rights for women in Pakistan. This young girl never fought fighting, even though she was threatened by the Taliban, and eventually shot by this Pakistani terrorist group. However, this girl is truly a fighter, surviving the attack, and is now heading to school after five months of recovering. Moreover, the reason Malala is so determined to get an education is because she is obviously a person that believes education is the key, and thrives for more knowledge. Additionally, she also believes that all individuals have an equal right to education, and that no one should be limited from this blessing. Nevertheless, education is not guaranteed to everyone is some countries because of the fact that some country officials look down on sections of their people, and regard them as less important. Therefore, the government officials would then decide that these people are not worthy of education, and then these people would be restricted from learning.

  9. What is significant about President Obama’s planned trip to Israel? What topics will be discussed during this trip? How might meeting Israeli leaders in their country be different from hosting them in the U.S.? Explain.
Throughout the visit, significant matters were argued between President Obama and Netanyahls .US officials are trying to subordinate outlooks that Obama will seek to make important progress on resuming the Israel-Palestinian peace process. This is the main purpose about president Obama’s deliberate trip to Israel. The subjects that will be chatted about throughout the trip will be concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions the war in Syria and the Israel-Palestinian peace. The conference was held in Israel and that proves how US is willing to fix and build its relationship with Israel. This also shows how the US is helping and supporting Israel and their actions.

Who are some of the women mentioned in today’s program who have made achievements in the arts? What are some of their accomplishments? What other women can you name who have found success in the arts? What might be the benefits and challenges of pursuing a career in these fields?

Some of the women that were mentioned in the news are J.K Rowling, Mary Shelly, and Meryl Steep. J.K Rowling wrote eight novels of Harry Potter and the eight were filmed and made movies. Mary Shelly wrote the book Frankenstein, and Meryl steep an American actress that was nominated for 17 academy awards and won an Oscar for playing Margret Thatcher. Helen Keller an author that was deaf blind and earned a Bachelor of art degree. Benefits that could be earned from such fields is that after an author’s death his books would be taught in schools, and that they will be remembered for a long time for their enormous work.

I think the Paraguayan students did a very good idea by making musical instruments by some trash beside their houses. Also it’s a great idea because they recycled the trash in a useful way. People in the video also think it’s a great idea, for example Favios Cahvez the director said that these instruments didn’t only change the students life , but the whole family. I think the music quality was great, even if it was made of trash but it sounded as if it was real instruments. Last I think they got the information to build these instruments by their director.

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani girl. who is 15 years old. She was shot in Pakistan, on her school bus, on the way home. She was shot because the Taliban terrorist group knew about a campaign she started about educating Pakistani women. She supported education for Pakistani women in order to give them better chances in life. When it comes to returning to school, Malala says that she is very happy to continue her education, since it is her strongest weapon, and also says that she will continue her campaign and will not give up. I think Malala is very determined because she has kept a straight-forward, clear opinion on what she believes are rights for Pakistani women, and after being shot in her skull, she still continues to do so. I think education isn’t garunteed in many countries because the main cause of this is simply misinterpretation and miscommunication. I also think that education itself is a major issue in underdeveloped countries because bad education leads to such things like misinterpretation and miscommunication, which result in sexism and racism.

Malala is a girl of 15 years that comes from Pakistan. The Taliban terrorists shot her on her way home for creating an educational campaign for women rights in which she encourages women to get education. She believes education is the most important part of a girl’s life. Despite the fact that she was shot, she didn’t give up. She stood for herself and the rest of the women for them to get good education. Education is the most important factor in our lives. Even though people might be poor, education will be the reason they might rise. It’s all what people will have left even if they lost everything. It’s important for women to be educated in order to stand for themselves and proove they can be as great, or even greater than men.

Do the media have an influence on a music artist’s popularity? Explain.

Nowadays, Media has the greatest influence on a music artist’s popularity. Around the world, famous artists are the ones covered by the media. Popular singers like Rihanna, David Guetta and Justin Bieber were not known, until they earned a huge amount of media coverage. Although there are a lot of current amazing music artists, they are not famous, due to the media’s inability to cover this huge amount of good music artists. On the other hand, It is thought that artists make their fame, as media tries to make the best singers famous. Moreover, the famous artists are usually the best music artists in the world as the media looks for the best artists. Justin Bieber was a unknown music artist, who started on Youtube, and when the media thought he was one of the best singers, they made him famous. It is also known that media are the one who present the artist forming his picture, thus his popularity. Concluding that media has a huge influence on an artist’s popularity and fame.

  21. Malak Amr Helmy says:

Do the media have an influence on a music artist’s popularity? Explain.

Yes, ofcourse the media has a great influence on a music artist’s popularity. However, an artist can become greatly popular by word of mouth. For instance, the Beatles became popular from the peoples recognistion of them, not by media. I assume that at this time, there wasnt much media. Therefore, the Beatles were pretty successful in becoming popular without any media marketing their music for them.

  22. Malak Sekaly says:

    ESW-3
The media definitely has an influence of a music artist’s popularity. This is because for an artist to become popular, he has to have a huge audience. For this to happen, the media must advertise the artist, ultimately bringing the artist to people’s attention. This is viewed as the Beatles’ popularity spread from the United Kingdom to the United States. This could have only happened if the media had spread the word all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. However, it is necessary for the band to be good in order for the media to advertise it. This is due to the fact that the media surely will not promote an artist who is not good. For example, if there wasn’t something special about the Beatles, the media wouldn’t have marketed the band. This concludes that the media does have an effect on an artists’ popularity, but isn’t the only affecting factor.

Because of her disability, she inspired many others because she didn’t give up on herself. When Melisa was in the hospital, she woke up and she almost felt a peaceful feeling saying “everything is going to be alright”. She ended up going to the Paralympics and became a good swimmer. How might unseasonable weather affect your community? What spring sports or events could be impacted? In Egypt, cold weather isn’t as usual as places in Europe. From what I know and grew up with, having such cold weather can be very depressing when it continues in spring time. Roads are slippery and therefore dangerous. Or sometimes it snows so hard that it’s hard to see from your car. Most people worry about the homeless. Having no roof above your head and being in such a cold weather is difficult. Charity places are full by the time it starts snowing, and providing for so many people isn’t an easy job to have. Besides that, the cold can have a big effect on people’s moods as well. The sky is dull and there is not much sunlight, and the days are shorter. People need sunlight, and the longer the winter is the more harm it will do. Of course, sports that are supposed to be done outside are impacted. During spring time people look forward to do things like hiking, biking, maybe swimming if the weather is good. I personally think that there are plenty of sports that can be done in that weather, like ice-skating and snowboarding for example. Sports are not the biggest problem.

What happened to Melissa Stockwell on April 13, 2004? How did she initially react to the injury she sustained? How did she turn her injury into an opportunity?

On April 13, 2004, Melissa Stockwell lost her leg in an explosion in Baghdad. Melissa looked at the bright side and she knew it was going to be alright.she decided to fight on a new battlefield from the U.S army to swimming in the Olympics. She had metal legs put instead of her real one but she didn’t use it while she was swimming. She turned this into an opportunity and made a club that she co-founded two years ago, it’s called dare2Try. This club was for athletes with disabilities, she wanted all the disabled athletes to still do what they love to do.

What type of club did she co-found? Who participates in this club? How might athletes benefit from their participation? How do you think she benefits from watching the athletes she’s helping?
Melissa Stockwell is truly a great inspiration to many people, she is an above-the-knee amputee, yet she leads a normal and healthy life. Although her story may seem tragic, she saw her experience as a second-chance and start over. She continued her studies as a Prosthetic, and became a professional athlete and joined the Paralympic team. Today she is known as the co-founder of Dare2tri, a Paratriathlon club that was launched in January 2011. The club serves youth, adults and injured service members who have a physical disability such as amputation, spinal cord injury, stroke, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy as well as those with visual impairments or blindness. She not only gave a second chance for herself, but others too. Now, people with disabilities can still participate in normal everyday activities, which is an amazing thing. They can feel good about themselves and not think about what tragedy might have led them to their case. There’s no better feeling than seeing someone smile because of your help, and I’m sure that’s how Melissa feels.
